Refund policy

Our additional 30-day returns offer

You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return under our voluntary returns offer. The item must be in the same condition you received it, unused or unworn, with tags where applicable and in its original packaging. Please retain your receipt or other proof of purchase.

This additional offer excludes perishable food, personalised or custom-made items, personal care goods, hazardous materials, flammable liquids, gases, sale items and gift vouchers. These voluntary-offer conditions and exclusions do not limit your statutory rights, including rights for faulty or misdescribed Goods or eligible online cancellations. Sale items have the same statutory rights as full-price items.

To request a return, contact hello@thecurator.co.uk with your order number. Please contact us before posting a return. If your return is accepted, we will send a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send the parcel. The return address is The Curator, Unit Q, Scope Complex, Wills Road, Totnes, TQ9 5XN.

For a voluntary return, we will notify you when we have received and inspected the item. An approved refund is made to the original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank may take additional time to post the refund. Contact us if it has not appeared within 15 business days of approval. Statutory cancellation refunds follow the timetable below.

Faulty, damaged or incorrect items

If your item is faulty, damaged, misdescribed or incorrect, contact us so we can help. We cover reasonable return costs where Goods are faulty or misdescribed. Your statutory rights are not limited to a 14-day or 30-day reporting period.

8. Consumer cancellations and returns

If you buy online as a Consumer, you can normally cancel without giving a reason by telling us within 14 days of receiving your Goods. You then have another 14 days to return them. For regular deliveries under one contract, the cancellation period runs from receipt of the first delivery. Please email hello@thecurator.co.uk with your name, order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.

This change-of-mind right does not apply where a legal exception applies, including Goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, personalised Goods, or sealed Goods unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed. These exceptions do not affect your rights for faulty or misdescribed Goods.

For a valid cancellation, we refund the Goods and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. Any extra charge for an upgraded delivery option is not refunded. Refunds are made using the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned Goods or evidence that they were sent back, whichever is earlier. Where no Goods were supplied, we refund within 14 days of being told of the cancellation.

You pay return postage for a change-of-mind return unless we agree otherwise. We cover reasonable return costs where Goods are faulty or misdescribed. We may reduce a change-of-mind refund for loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the Goods.

Our additional 30-day voluntary returns offer, including its eligibility conditions, is set out in our Return and refund policy. It does not replace or limit your statutory rights. Faulty-Goods rights are not limited to 14 days.
