Hermosa

Hermosa comes from Coope Dota, a cooperative based in Santa Maria de Dota in the Tarrazú region of Costa Rica. Established in 1960 with 96 members, the cooperative now represents over 1,000 producers and was the first coffee processor in the world to be certified carbon neutral. Their focus extends beyond coffee quality to environmental innovation, including projects to turn honey water waste into fertiliser that captures carbon from the air. With farms ranging from 1500–2600m, members cultivate Caturra and Catuai varietals using both washed and honey processes. The result is coffees that are clean, complex, and consistently well-structured.
